Age

18 - 35 years

 

Overall Aggregate

An aggregate score of thirty six (36) or better in six subjects, comprising  3 core and 3 elective

Core Subjects and Minimum Grades

A1 - C6 in three Core Subjects i.e. English, Mathematics and Integrated Science.

Description

This programme trains a category of personnel who give preventive care within the community. They provide health services such as immunization, health promotion and child welfare clinics. This programme prepares individuals in basic nursing with special option in Midwifery.
Graduates are required to undertake one year mandatory internship/ rotation / National Service after sitting and passing their Licensure Examination conducted by the Nurses and Midwifery Council of Ghana on completing their Academic work.

Description

Trainees get in-depth knowledge of health & related issues and acquire skills in ICT that prepares them to competently manage the challenges in Health Information System at all levels.

Description

The course prepares graduates to take up positions in the health sector and work at various levels as multi-purpose health workers. Graduates are given extensive training in Public Health to fit into various positions in District and Regional management teams.

Registered Dental Surgery Assistant

Duration

Six Semesters (3 years) + 1 year Internship

Brong Ahafo Region - Kintampo

Description

This programme prepares graduates to work as part of a dental team in a variety of clinical and non-clinical settings. They are also responsible for ensuring the Dentist or Oral Surgeon's operating list runs smoothly during the course of a clinical session.
Graduates are required to undertake one year of internship on completing their Academic work.

Location

Greater Accra Region - Korle Bu

Description

This programme prepares graduates to manufacture dental prosthetics including bridges, crowns and dentures according to specifications dentists send to them. They work in specialties that include orthodontic appliances, crowns and bridges, complete dentures, partial dentures, or ceramics.

Eight Semesters (4 years) + 1 year Internship

Description

This programme prepares graduates to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services, as delegated by a physician. They undertake all tasks involved in routine medical care, such as diagnosing illnesses, writing prescriptions, performing minor surgery etc and refer cases as appropriate. Graduates are also equipped with managerial skills to manage and effectively run health centers without supervision.
Graduates are required to undertake one year of internship on completing their Academic work.

The Physiotherapy/Orthotics Technology programme prepares graduates to assist physiotherapists in the prevention and treatment of disability and mobility. Knowledge in orthotics helps graduates to make devices to correct problems with disability and mobility

Description
